Naples, the hystorical center

Meeting with a local guide in Piazza del Gesł. Visit to the Church of Gesł Nuovo with its wonderful pavement of polychrome marble. Continuing trough Via Benedetto Croce you'll visit one of the most important work of angevins age in town, the monastery of Santa Chiara, besides the church you can visit the cloister of Clarisse realised in the XIV century and decorated with nice maiolics tiles.
Among the old luxury buildings as Palazzo Filomarino, Palazzo Mazziotti, Palazzo Venezia, Palazzo Carafa della Spina, Palazzo Tufarelli you can reach San Severo Chapel and admire works like the veiled Christ of Sammartino and examples of anatomical machines. Reaching San Domenico Maggiore Square you continue trough Via San Gregorio Armeno with its coloured and peculiar handcraft shops of crib's art .Besides you'll see the majestic front of San Paolo Church and of S. Lorenzo Maggiore.
By the Church of San Paolo you can visit the underground of Naples which gives you the access to the Neapolitan subsoil (40 meters deep) and the change to watch a suggestive projection of slides of the real life in Naples.
